Benefits

Bring people in. Bring them back. Plus extra benefits.

Acquire

Bring new people in

New customers were never free — but unlike Google or Facebook, you only pay after someone has walked in and spent.

01

Automatic referrals

Best return rate

Where they come from — your customers' friends

A customer who's scanned their slip can send a friend to your shop straight from their wallet. You set the reward for both sides. You never have to track any of it — the slip is the proof.

You pay — cashback, after the friend spends

02

MultiShop Challenge

Shared cost

Where they come from — regulars at other shops nearby

To unlock one larger cashback, a customer has to spend across several PerkWallet shops — not just yours. The reward looks big to them, but it's split between the shops that take part.

You pay — a share of one cashback

03

Single-shop cashback

You set the rule

Where they come from — people already in PerkWallet

You write the rule: spend $20, get $5 back. It's a fixed amount, not a percentage off — you reward the action of coming in and spending, not the size of the bill. No discounting, no deals site.

You pay — the fixed amount you set

Retain

Give them a reason to come back

Print all three on the same slip and mix them however your margins allow. Two of the three cost you nothing.

Stamp card

Give people a reason to walk in again. They see the progress in their wallet — two of five, three to go — and the card is always on them.

You pay — one small reward, on the fifth visit

PerkPoints

Free for you

Five points on every slip. They stack up across every shop on the network and get exchanged for real rewards — frequent flyer miles for flights, gift cards and more. Small on its own, but it means nobody ever walks out with nothing.

You pay $0 — funded by PerkWallet

Prize draw

Free for you

Every slip is an entry to win a gift card — $20, or $100 — and the whole pool is paid for by us. No single shop could run a draw this size financially viable on its own, and you carry none of the cost or admin.

You pay $0 — funded by PerkWallet

Extra benefits

Three more ways it pays you back

Credit back for introducing a customer to the network, marketing that only targets people who haven't been in yet, and a second revenue line other brands pay for.

Earn

$5 for being their first shop on the network

If your shop is the first on the network a customer ever scans, you're their first shop. When they later scan at a second shop, the $5 First Shop Bonus lands with you.

Credit posts to your dashboard for acquisition

Insight

See who your customers are, then target properly

Every slip you hand out sharpens the picture. Across all PerkWallet members we can tell which ones already shop with you and which ones don't — so your marketing goes only to the people who haven't walked in yet.

Channel

Be the pickup point for other brands' promotions

When other companies run giveaway or gift campaigns, PerkPrinter is the redemption channel and your shop qualifies automatically. The sponsor pays for the goods; you hand them over and get paid for delivering them.

How it works

PerkPrinter manages the perks you give customers

A perk is a benefit — a stamp, a prize draw entry, a next-visit discount. The printer issues them at checkout and proves them when they're redeemed. Two presses of a button, two ends of the same visit.

01Issuing perks

Print a unique, single-use QR perk slip

One press prints a slip for that customer. A single slip can carry several rewards at once — a prize draw entry, a stamp, a discount on their next visit. Every slip gets its own one-off QR code that works exactly once, so nobody can reuse it or pass it around. Customers scan, enter a mobile number, and it's collected — no app, no sign-up form.

  • Every code is unique and dies after one scan — a slip found on the floor is worth nothing
  • Several rewards on one slip, so the reasons to return stack up
  • Slips last 1–2 days, so you can batch-print in advance and leave a tray out

02At redemption

Verification happens automatically — before anything prints

When a customer redeems, the request travels over a secure connection to PerkWallet's servers, where we confirm what they earned and that they met the condition. Only after that check passes does the PerkPrinter print. The slip in your staff's hand isn't a claim waiting to be checked — it's the result of a check that already passed.

  • Server-verified, then printed — the printer can't produce a slip that wasn't authorised
  • Nothing left for staff to judge — no comparing screens, no calling anyone, no squinting at a screenshot that might have been edited
  • Seconds at the counter — a first-day hire can't get it wrong, even during the lunch rush

FAQ

The questions shop owners ask first

Do I need to connect it to my POS?+

No. PerkPrinter sits beside the register and works on its own — nothing to integrate, nothing for your POS provider to approve.

Do customers have to download an app?+

No. They scan the QR code, enter a mobile number, and the perk is collected in their PerkWallet — all in the browser.

Can someone reuse a slip they found?+

No. Each code is unique and becomes invalid after its first scan. Slips also expire within 1–2 days, so a stray or previously scanned slip has no value.

Who actually pays for the cashback?+

You do — but only after the customer has walked in and spent. That's the whole difference from Google or Facebook, where the money goes out whether anyone shows up or not. PerkWallet's charge on top is deliberately small, so nearly everything you spend ends up in the customer's pocket rather than ours.

Isn't this just discounting with extra steps?+

No. You take full price at the counter and settle the cashback afterwards, so your prices never change and you're not listed on a deals site. It's also a fixed amount, not a percentage — you're rewarding someone for coming in and spending, not scaling a giveaway to the size of their bill.

What do my staff have to do?+

Hand over the slip. That's it. The QR block prints on the receipt they're already giving out, so there's no second thing to remember, no app to learn, and no screens to compare.

How do referrals get tracked — do I have to manage any of it?+

You don't manage any of it. A customer who's scanned their slip can send a friend from inside their wallet, and the slip itself is the proof: who referred who, whether the friend actually turned up, and whether they actually spent are all verified automatically. You set the reward for both sides and nothing else.

On the MultiShop Challenge, do I pay the whole cashback?+

No — it's split between the shops that take part. The customer sees one decent-sized reward, but you carry a slice of it rather than all of it, which makes it the cheapest way to pick up someone who currently shops somewhere else.

What do PerkPoints and the prize draw cost me?+

Nothing — both are funded by PerkWallet. The points stack up across the whole network and get exchanged for real rewards, including frequent flyer miles and gift cards. As for the draw: any shop can run its own competition. The problem is that a prize big enough to be worth entering rarely pays for itself out of one shop's takings. Spread across the network, the same prize does make sense — and you carry none of it.

How does the $5 First Shop Bonus work?+

If you're the first shop on the network a customer ever scans, you're recorded as their first shop. When they later scan at a second shop, the $5 lands with you — and your claim stays open for 24 months. It posts to your dashboard as credit you can spend on acquisition.

What do I actually get to see about my customers?+

You see which PerkWallet members in your area already shop with you and which ones don't, segmented by area, frequency and category. Then you decide who to reach: new people who've never walked in, your existing customers, regulars who've gone quiet, or all of them. The point isn't a profile of any individual — it's that you're choosing your audience deliberately instead of paying to broadcast at everyone.
